Importing bank statements
Import options
You can export bank statements or transactions for a selected date range from your online banking, then import them as statement lines into Billroo.
Billroo currently only accepts CSV formats
If you can’t export the transactions in a CSV format, you can create your statement file using this template and a spreadsheet program such as Excel or Google Sheets. Then, export it as a CSV and import it into Billroo.
PDF bank statements can’t be imported into Billroo. If you can access online banking, look for the option to export the transactions, usually available when viewing the transactions as a list.
Alternatively, search online for a third-party conversion service to convert the PDF statement to one of these formats.
Date Formats
Ensure the date in your CSV file is in one of the following formats:
DD/MM/YYYY
DD-MM-YYYY
YYYY-MM-DD
D-MMM-YYYY
D MMM YYYY
D MMMM YYYY
MM/DD/YYYY
MM-DD-YYYY
MMM D, YYYY
If your date format isn't included, please fill out this form to request your format to be added.
Amount / Number
Please ensure that your amount is only number
For example, 50 not (50). Otherwise, there will be an error, and you won't be able to import your CSV file.
