Apple Users: “Hide My Email” Feature
Edited
Apple offers a “Hide My Email” feature that allows users to keep their personal email addresses private. When an Apple user enables this feature:
Apple generates a proxy email address for the user.
We only receive this proxy email, not the user’s actual email.
As a result, if the user later tries to log in with a Google account or their real email, we cannot automatically link it to their existing account.
Important: Apple users who use “Hide My Email” should be aware that their login experience may be affected if they try to sign in using methods other than their Apple ID with the proxy email.
